At last, nothing to do but enjoy the day! Lazy morning, coffee, dog walk, breakfast, life is good.

Doesn't get much better than bacon from an cast iron skilled on an open campfire.

Mid morning we got motivated and drove on over to Snodgrass Trail to do some more hiking. This time however, being the experienced hikers we now are, we were only going to go about 2 mi out and turn around.

Hike was wonderful and the weather was perfect.

No too shabby, this was taken right at the trailhead on Washington Gulch Rd.

Were turning into more of a mountain family by the day!

Mini-Me was a trooper on every hike

The entire trail was like this. Who could not be happy here!?

So beautiful with the Evergreens and Aspen (I think that is what they are anyway) trees contrasting each other.

We turned around and headed back from here. The route is not a loop without being on a bike anyway.

No caption needed!

After our hike we worked up an appetite and it looked like a storm was coming in anyway. We were just going to grab some stuff and the grocery store in town but decided on a sandwich shop, Frank's Deli. You know what, one of the best dang sandwiches I have ever had. Hit it up, the food was awesome!

Once back at the campsite, a storm came through and ruined by bike riding plans. Thank goodness I put up the awning or we would have been stuck inside the van for hours. The evening was shot. However once one door shuts another one opens. Once the rain slowed down I was able to capture some shots on the fuji that I would otherwise never have seen.

All the Slate River pics were taken right from the campsite.

I'm still so new to photography. So much to learn still, if I could get a handle on white balance and ISO I think I could do much better.

I am pretty fond of this one. Right place and right time, didn't screw it up. Which pretty much sums up my definition of photography.
